The semifinals and finals of the spelling bee will be simulcast next Wednesday (May 29) and next Thursday (May 30) starting at 8PM eastern. Simulcast channels include LAFF, ION, ION Mystery, and BOUNCE. I enjoyed watching the spelling bee last year. On the 29th after semifinals coverage, BOUNCE will air related movie Akeelah and the Bee at 10PM. This is the movie that started Password host Keke Palmer's career even before her Disney channel sitcom, also stars a pre-911 Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne. Thursday the 30th will have an immediate encore of the finals on all its channels at 10PM, last year there was an overrun from the live coverage at 8PM.
