It’s Official: "The Spencer Sisters" not Returning for Season 2

Darby and Victoria would be the first to tell you, the clues were there.
Weeks after Lea Thompson wrote on Instagram, “I think that The Spencer Sisters won’t be back for Season 2,” a rep for Canada’s CTV Television Network had confirmed for TVLine that “a second season has not been picked up at this time.”
On The CW, "The Spencer Sisters" averaged not quite 650,000 weekly viewers (with Live+7 playback), ranking No. 6 out of the nine original or acquired dramas that the netlet aired this TV season.
Lea Thompson has already booked a leading role on Hallmark Channel’s adaptation of KJ Dell’Antonia’s best-selling 2020 novel "The Chicken Sisters".
