With Father's Day a month away we all know what all fathers love and the one thing that keeps them very busy every weekend is mowing the lawn. If you grew up in the 90's you probably gave your father a Troy-Bilt Lawnmower for Father's Day. Troy-Bilt Lawnmowers were big in the 90's and Troy-Bilt itself had interesting commercials promoting their various lawn and garden products. While they were best known for their lawnmowers Troy-Bilt also made snowblowers and wood chipping machines each with their own commercials. And sometimes they even had free gifts in the form of gardening books that were sometimes bought with each Troy-Bilt Lawnmower as mentioned in the commercials. Troy-Bilt is still in operation today and is still selling lawnmowers through commercials that are different than the 90's commercials

I remember when Troy-Bilt lawnmowers were all the rage and their commercials were everywhere on TV. Though I never got my father one Troy-Bilt lawnmowers were dependable and really did a great job at mowing your house's lawn in an easy manner. It's a shame that you hardly see commercials for Troy-Bilt shown on TV anymore so I wonder what happened to Troy-Bilt? Did Troy-Bilt go broke or get sold?

It seemed that Troy-Bilt would air a lot of commercials around Father's Day because I think a lot of people liked to give their fathers lawnmowers as Father's Day gifts and when I saw these commercials it has amazed me how lawnmowers have advanced from the ones of yesteryear. And I think Troy-Bilt really was lawnmower king of mail-order lawnmowers in the 90's
Did anybody ever own a Troy-Bilt lawnmower based on the commercials?

The reason why I think Troy-Bilt got so big in commercials was due to the fact that their products actually sold and judging from the commercials Troy-Bilt was big on lawnmowers and since they actually worked like the commercials said it would Troy-Bilt probably made a lot of money from the commercials. And they sure sold a lot of lawnmowers during Father's Day because most everybody gives their fathers lawnmowers as gifts. I used to see these commercials and it amazed me how easy it was to mow the lawn with a Troy-Bilt lawnmower
