They lost the rights to air the show and GSN isn't willing/can't spend the amount of money Fremantle wants to regain the airing rights.

In an interview with Bob Boden (VP of GSN)...It's revealed that GSN, and speficially, he, wants TPiR back really badly. It's just that Fremantle's asking price is just too high for GSN.

GSN has for some reason quit airing a lot of older game shows. They used to air the Bill Cullen version late at night and the Bob Barker version everyday around 3pm along with Garry Moore's "To Tell the Truth" and the color versions of "What's My Line?" with either Wally Bruner or Larry Blyden as host. The "Pyramid" also aired in the early evenings too! They have followed Cartoon Network's annoying habit of airing original programs instead of the classic shows that had actually brought them any attention in the first place. I love Peter Marshall's version of "Hollywood Squares" and I'm a "Match Game" and "Family Feud" nut. I also like Allen Ludden, Bill Cullen and Bud Collyer.

On the other hand, Thank Buzzr for airing reruns of classic "The Price Is Right" with Bob Barker but Buzzr did show Cullen TPIR a few years prior.
