For me it was/is staircases. My Aunt and uncle had a beautiful open staircase in their home and I loved going up and down on it. We lived in a one story home and I always wished that we had a two story. I now live in a tri-level with 2 sets of short stairways which are very boring and now becoming a pain as I grow older.

But to me a beautiful staircase is a work of art!:) I am especially fond of curved staircases.:)

NOTHING, can't think of any obsessions I had, except I did have a strong feeling for boys, young ones and older ones.....that has been gone for close to 20 yrs....I can recall never being without a BF...

Oh this may count, I was a danceaholic, from age 12 all the way into later 50's when jjoints were screaming, Stop!! Didn't dance during marriage years, ex had 4 left feet..played a mind game, bridge, for years during that time....

I have a recurring dream about a hidden staircase that leads to a dark attic. But once I get up there I wake up. I want to see what is up there! LOL Secret staircases, secret rooms, secret passageways are all so cool!

The first spiral stairway, I think I ever saw was on "Kelley's Island."
I believe it was in a Lighthouse or a mansion(??) It was fascinating.

Things that fascinated me as a kid would be escalators and watermills (working watermills).
As a kid we would go to a Columbus mall where the stores had escalators.
We would ride up and down, then go and ride again, up and down, up and down ... :lol: :lol:

My sister and I called escalators folding steps when we were kids ! :D
