Not a huge fan of CATM, but it is a nice change of pace from Leave it to Beaver, Brady Bunch, & Gilligan. Just stay away from the Honeymooners or your gonna go to the moon!!!
Question: does anyone know of the aleged behind the scenes animosity between Freddie and Jack? I had heard on Howard Sterns show that they really didnt like each other too much. Is there any thruth to that?

From all that I have heard,Jack and Freddie got along pretty well and Jack even gave Freddie some acting "pointers",as Jack was an old veteran actor with lots of experience.When Freddie died,Jack supposibly took it very hard.He got "crusty" with the shows producers and griped about stupid little things.I guess it was a case of his "friend" being taken away from him and he lost a lot of respect for the business.Jack said a bit at his funeral,and we wouldnt have done that if he "hated" him.

I agree with "P". He gave a eulogy at the funeral and he broke down and cried. If they didn't get along he would not have spoken at the funeral let alone go to it.

As I have said several times before, I think
Freddie and Jack had a wonderful relationship
on and off screen. Jack attended Freddie's
wedding and went to the Jimmy Carter gala
with him. I heard that Jack was crushed when
Freddie died. I think he thought of him as
a son. You can't believe anything you hear
on Howard Stern, what does he know. Did
anyone see the show today with Rich Little?
My favorite part was the very last scene when
Chico and Ed paint each other's faces. They
surely do have a magic between them. I think the best parts of the show is when it
is just the two of them. You can feel the
love and see it as well. You can't fake
that day after day, scene after scene.

I read in Rick Mitz' The Great TV Sitcoms Encyclopedia or what the heck was its title...pardon my laziness.

Anyway I read that Freddie told somebody (James Komack?), "When you see Jack, tell him I love him" and whoever he told wondered why, because Freddie was going to see Jack the next day anyway.
