My mom was telling me when she was a teen Mom and her best friend got to go to a George Benson concert and what she thought of George Benson was that he was cool and she and her friend even got to meet George after the concert and got photos and autographs. And I never figured out why George Benson was popular? Was it because he had a different appeal to people or was it because he had brought a new image to R&B music at the time? Mom was surprised at George Benson's music and the concert was very fancy. Does George Benson always perform fancy concerts today?

I never ever figured out why or how George Benson was popular and I first heard about him when my mom was telling me a story about how she and her best friend "as I mentioned in my opening post" went to a George Benson concert and my mother won some George Benson concert tickets by accident when she entered a radio contest for some concert tickets without knowing who the artist was "I guess it was a mystery artist" and Mom won the George Benson concert tickets anyway. But when my mom and her best friend went to the concert it was very fancy with waiters and butlers offering food but my mom found the concert unappealing but George Benson got to talk to Mom after the concert and he was very much a gentleman according to my mom but he tried to give my mom an autographed photo and Mom declined it. I find it surprising that Turn Your Love Around and George Benson's awesome cover of On Broadway are his most popular hits. I guess George Benson was trying to copy Stevie Wonder and it surprises me that George Benson is still popular today. I think he was gonna be huge in R&B music just like Michael Jackson and Luther Vandross
