Someone mentioned that the start of season 7 was today's ep where Jack thinks he took advantage of Janet when he was drunk.

The thing I notice the most is that the picture looks clearer and more crisp, and the audience laughter sounds more smoothe. Before you could hear more off-stage noises or laughter like it was "in the distance". The theme is also tweaked and Cindy is dropped from it (funny that they would go back to the zoo to re-shoot everything just to get Cindy out of the credits).

You can also hear a woman in the audience say "Do you know what you did?" when Jack wakes up the next morning.

I'm guessing just advances in technology is what it was.

And I always remember that one woman's high pitched laughing when Jack is undressing in the living room while drunk, heh heh.

Yeah i think it was pretty stupid to go back to the zoo the following season without Cindy. I feel that they should have chose another location. The most odd thing about doing the opening credits at the Zoo the following season is that they all had on the same clothes they wore the previous season with Cindy-that was very weird to me.

They reshot only certain scenes from the zoo to save money. Credits do cost money, they have to secure the location, get the wardrobe, make sure they have the currect camera angles - it takes a while to work out. Same reason they didn't reshoot in season five even tho Suzanne barely had any role that year.

Well in seasons 7 and 8 they moved to another set, the set where they shot the first 6 episodes. Seasons 2-6 were shot at the CBS Television City. Seasons 1, 7 and 8 were shot at ABC Studios. Did you notice Jack's room has a lighter blue wall?

Well they could have had on different outfits rather than the same ones from the previous year. Especially since Janet hair was longer.

But then they would have to reshoot ALL of the opening and why reshoot an entire opening when you can make a new one for the same time value? They wanted to keep the opening credits they had, and removing Cindy from them didn't really affect the credits other then having her scenes with the others reshot. And why would someone reshoot an entire opening just because of the length of Joyce DeWitt's hair? It's not that noticeable.

Here is my point-if there is a new season, less characters, then they could have still did the opening credits at the zoo but with DIFFERENT OUTFITS.

Okay, you've made that clear in all your posts SOLOMON. Now here's my point: if you think it out, they would still have to reshoot all the scenes at the zoo because it would look odd having them change from outfit to outfit. If they're going to have to make entirely new credits, they wouldn't even have been at the zoo. The opening credits do cost money - they would've probably had to have a part of the LA zoo blocked off for a day which would mean less business for the zoo, so TTC would have to pay money to use the area. It wouldn't be sensible in the monetary term to completely reshoot an entire opening sequence just to have new outfits.

Well I guess the other cast members having on different outfits would be my way of explaining the absence of Cindy. Now since the outfits were never changed, i guess the explanation for Cindy's absence would be that she became tired and wanted to go home while the others decided to stay at the zoo a little while longer.

Well, Cindy was completely out of the credits by then. She just wasn't part of the show anymore - she disappeared. Suzanne disappeared after #100, yet you don't say that you thought she was at the carnival but she got tired and went home.

Well that would be because there never was a different opening for the carnival. You always saw Chrissy in the opening credits at the carnival-but you didn't always see Cindy at the Zoo.

I don't understand your statement-I was talking about Cindy being moved out of the opening credits at the zoo and you are talking about what set they shot the show on.

He was talking in the orginal post about how the quality of the tape seesm to improve after season six.

Maybe they used different quality tape at ABC Studios or got it from a different source then CBS Television City?

It's interesting you mention hearing more of the audience. On the very first episode I remember hearing a woman in the audience when they show Jack in the bathtub.

Do you remember what the woman said when jack was in the bathtub? If you do i can go back and look at it since i have it on my tape.

I don't remember what the woman in the audience said. It was just like a laugh, responding to the humor of the situation.

But it wasn't something you normally hear from a TV audience, just one voice. That's why I remember it.

Yeah, this also happens frequently in season one. I remember in the third episode entitled "Roper's Neice", someone in the audience mocks Chrissy when she goes 'oh Janet your cameo!'. After the person mocks her, you can hear a lady go 'Did ya hear 'im?!'. Also in "And Mother Makes Four", when Jack asks if they shuld sleep together in one bed, someone yells 'go for it!'
