On the eve of Greg's (Barry Williams) graduation, Bobby (Mike Lookinland) embarks on a get-rich-quick scheme involving some shady hair tonic. Feeling bad, Greg buys a bottle... but freaks out when he discovers it has turned his hair orange! Meanwhile, Cindy (Susan Olson) and Cousin Oliver (Robbie Rist) embark on a money-making scheme of their own involving two bunny rabbits.

This episode is notable for the fact that it's the season (and series) finale, and yet Mike Brady (Robert Reed) was fired from the show during its production by creator Sherwood Schwartz and his producer son LLoyd Schwartz.

On the Real Brady Bros podcast Barry claims Reed's biggest beef with this episode was how fast the hair would turn orange. Barry was laughing saying the show was only 22 minutes so the change had to happen fast for TV purposes. But Reed found it impossible to believe. Its also crazy he freaked out over the tag scene in Jan's prank episode claiming Alice would be able to tell the difference between a real and fake ink stain.
But he was a trooper because his acting was so good you would never know he hated doing the scenes.

Because things boiled over on this episode. It was not really official firing since it was the last episode of the season. They were making alternative plans but it was all moot because the show was cancelled. Reed was never "officially" fired. He was written out of the episode with plans to replace him.
Reed loved that the show was cancelled.
