Hudson and Rex is a popular current Canadian drama, they are well into season 6 there and most of season 5 has aired on UP now. I had to post the thread I just started about a potential spin-off on the General Dramas sub-forum.

We have Turner & Hooch and now Hudson & Rex. One of our dogs was named Rex.
