In my case if it was closer because its a little further but I was a telemarketer and enjoy it so much. Coffeecup 04-18-2024, 08:34 PM No I would not. I worked in a restaurant and I really didn't enjoy the job that much! GoldenTV 04-18-2024, 11:53 PM No I would not. I worked in a restaurant and I really didn't enjoy the job that much! Same here. My first job was also in a restaurant (El Chico) and definitely don't want to go that route again. That is why I feel bad about people working in a restaurant or fast food places. They work the hardest with minimum pay and benefits. ponytail 04-25-2024, 06:23 AM I really liked my first job; it was for a major mail order company. I liked the hours, and it wasn't far to drive. But I was making 2.70 an hour. The company is no longer. Tankeryanker 04-25-2024, 03:55 PM I worked at a stable and traded labor for horseback riding. I was 14. I guess I would go back. Caroline13 04-25-2024, 03:58 PM My very first, was selling shoes in an upscale clothing store and I was 16 so it was PT but enjoyed the customers, co workers and t he lovely shoes and pleasing customers by helping them....That kind of work is long gone, and I have not an inch of desire to work again, worked 40 yrs and enjoyed it all pretty much.....a lot of different industries... The company is no longer. My 1st job no longer exist either. I enjoyed the pressure and deadline factor, if you didnt have a sale by 1pm they would send you home. So I would always try and get my 1st sale between 9am and 930am and once I did I would eat my breakfastt:lol: Torgo 04-25-2024, 06:40 PM Nah. I cleaned parking lots, and stocked shelves/helped unload delivery trucks for a local retail chain when I was 15. The stores no longer exists. Bonniegirl 04-26-2024, 02:39 PM Beaver and Chuckie ever walk in?:D:lol::D::lol::D Bonniegirl 04-26-2024, 02:44 PM My first job was McDonalds. I quit after 3 days, so that would be a no. I hated working there.:( But actually I guess you could say babysitting was really my first job. I wouldn't mind that now. But only infants and children maybe 4 and older. Toddlers are a handful. I don't know if at my age I'd have the energy to take care of an active toddler all day ! ThisLittlePiggy 04-26-2024, 03:07 PM My very first job other than babysitting was selling magazines and I was not good at it. I was thirteen. My next job was as a busboy/girl and I enjoyed that. I was fourteen though and had a lot of energy. My clothes always smelled like a combination of tomato sauce and tobacco smoke. :) Torgo 04-26-2024, 04:44 PM I did do babysitting, and mowed lawns for people in the neighborhood and and nearby neighborhoods when I was 13 and 14 (I did have better luck than Beaver and Gilbert in that department) Bonniegirl 04-26-2024, 04:53 PM I did do babysitting, and mowed lawns for people in the neighborhood and and nearby neighborhoods when I was 13 and 14 (I did have better luck than Beaver and Gilbert in that department) Yeah, me too. I never had any kids lock themselves in the bathroom like Puddin' and Benjie !:D |
