American television sitcom Half & Half aired on UPN from September 23, 2002, to May 15, 2006. The show was created by writer and producer Jeffrey Klarik, executive produced by Living Single creator Yvette Lee Bowser and the catchy theme song called “You and Me” is performed by singer/songwriter Melonie Daniels. It focuses on the lives of two paternal half-sisters, Mona and Dee Dee Thorne played by Rachel True and Essence Atkins respectively, who didn’t grow up together but, now that they’re adults in their 20s, are working on having a close relationship. It all gets kicked off when they both move into the same San Francisco apartment building.
