After learning that he was the original Daredevil in The Trial Of The Incredible Hulk I found out that Rex Smith was also a singer and was considered a teen idol of the 70's. Among the songs I found of Rex Smith was a cover of Carl Carlton's Everlasting Love which performed as a duet with Rachel Sweet and a rock song called Saturday Night "not a cover of The Bay City Rollers hit of the same name" And Rex did have a great voice and I never knew Rex Smith sang and so it got me curious to know if he was a singer before becoming a actor? Because from what I read about Rex Smith's singing career a lot of teenage girls had crushes on him and it makes me think Rex Smith was in the same category as Donny Osmond when it came to teen idols of the 70's

To be honest I didn't even know Rex Smith was a singer in the 70's and I got curious to know more about his singing career and I listened to him sing and I saw why teenage girls in the 70's had crushes on Rex Smith. Because not only could he sing so well but he was really cute and it's easy to see why girls liked Rex Smith. I showed my mother Rex Smith and she didn't even know he sang or hadn't heard of him but I researched more about him on Pandora and found he did a cover of The Chi-Lites Oh Girl and Jimmy Ruffin's What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted and he does an awesome job singing those covers. But who knew that he would go on to play Daredevil in The Trial Of The Incredible Hulk and surprisingly Rex Smith still performs concerts today

My mom happened to be cleaning my room when I had Rex Smith playing on Pandora and she was surprised and asked "Gosh Hawkee who is that?" And I told her Rex Smith from The Trial Of The Incredible Hulk and she didn't know that he was a singer and now she's been looking for Rex Smith songs because of me and as I mentioned I can see why teenage girls went crazy over Rex Smith because he had such a cool hairstyle but I can't figure out what made him cute to teenage girls?

I cannot figure out how Rex Smith became a singer because he was best known as an actor? Because when I was researching his singing career I found he has a bunch of albums and his biggest hit was a song called Sooner Or Later "Not The Grass Roots hit"

I think the reason why Rex Smith was destined to become a popular teen idol of the 70's was because the 70's was huge for teen idols especially singers like Donny Osmond Michael Jackson David Cassidy and groups like The Bee Gees Bay City Rollers and The Partridge Family and Rex wanted to see if he would shine bright as a singer that was crush-worthy to girls. But I think he wanted to be part of the trend of actors who could also be singers like the late David Soul was. But when I listened to Rex Smith sing on Pandora I can understand why girls thought he was cute and it was his wonderful voice and I only knew about him from playing Daredevil in the movie The Trial Of The Incredible Hulk and I never knew that the original Daredevil could sing so well and I was surprised

When you are an actor one side job and hobby that can give you more stardom and fame is also becoming a singer and I think why Rex Smith became a singer was because he thought he could compete with other singers that were popular in the 70's such as Leo Sayer Andy Gibb Lobo Paul Davis and Randy Vanwarmer and when you are an famous actor who has a number one hit single you are gained more star popularity because after all it happened to John Travolta and Rex Smith thought the same thing would happen to him and he became a top singer in the 70's
