Shows nowadays are way better than they used to be. Anything from the 1900s is horrible. You should watch The Bachelor. It’s fantastic.

Finally an intelligent post. I’ve seen all of those. Do you believe some people like older shows better? You seem too smart to be posting here all the time. DJM77 04-01-2024, 08:23 PM This has to be an April Fools joke. stevea 04-01-2024, 11:15 PM Actually, any show on the A&E network is the place to be. THE ONLY THING YOU SEE IN TV NOW IS RE-PROGRAMMED ROBOTS DOING WHAT THEY ARE TOLD!!!!!!!!! opus 04-02-2024, 10:12 PM Attempting to use this thread legitimately now, does anyone at this site still watch shows that are first run, or just the things you grew up on? There ARE lots of good shows out there being made. If you give them a chance you’ll find things you like. There ARE lots of good shows out there being made. If you give them a chance you’ll find things you like. I gave both Young Sheldon and the Fraiser reboot a chance, partialy because of all the old sitcom stars involved and the two show just wasn't my cup of coffee. I find myself always gravitating back to the tried and true classic shows, cartoons and movies that were big during and before my time. icecream 04-02-2024, 10:42 PM Attempting to use this thread legitimately now, does anyone at this site still watch shows that are first run, or just the things you grew up on? There ARE lots of good shows out there being made. If you give them a chance you’ll find things you like.Yes. But several good first-run shows are ending like Blue Bloods, Young Sheldon, and S.W.A.T. Quantum Leap is not likely to return because of low ratings. A trio of Canadian imports I have gotten into with The Spencer Sisters, Wild Cards, and Hudson and Rex. Other current shows I like include FBI, The Neighborhood, 9-1-1, Weakest Link, The Irrational, Found, and Ghosts. I want to see The Baxters but don't have Amazon Prime. Person, Place, or Thing is a great freshman syndicated game show. biffbronson 04-03-2024, 02:38 PM Finally an intelligent post. So you purport to say a person's intelligence is proportional with regard to how much they enjoy what YOU consider worth watching. Let's suppose you hate Jerry Lewis films. Are you then calling the people of France stupid for enjoying them greatly? You're on thin ice. What does it matter to you what others watch, as long as the stuff you enjoy remains available? Control freak? bmasters9 04-03-2024, 02:59 PM So you purport to say a person's intelligence is proportional with regard to how much they enjoy what YOU consider worth watching. What does it matter to you what others watch, as long as the stuff you enjoy remains available? Control freak? This is why, albeit I'm not the biggest fan of what's on now, I believe that any TV DVD collection should have what the collector/owner of it deems enjoyable (e.g. I'm not the biggest fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer [or a fan at all for that matter], but even so, quite a few TV DVD collections I've seen on YouTube have Buffy as a prominent show in them, so I just let that be and chalk it up as being that such is what many TV DVD collectors deem worth watching [live and let live, IOW]).
