An I Love Lucy Easter:

Note: This story is meant to take place before their trip to Egypt.

(Lucy is talking to Ricky.)

Ricky: “Absolutely not. I am not going to give you the money for an Easter rabbit costume. You are already overdrawn at the bank.”

Lucy: “But Ricky, the Wednesday Afternoon Fine Arts League is having an Easter egg race where all the ladies will be in Easter costumes and the first prize in a white necklace.”

Ricky: “No. I’m not going to help you get a costume for your Wednesday Afternoon FANG & CLAW society event.”

Lucy: “But Ricky.”

Ricky: “Absolutely not. I’m going to the club. See ya!”

(He leaves.)

(Ethel comes by.)

Ethel: “Hi Lucy! How did you do?”

Lucy: “Hi Ethel! I got nowhere. How about you?”

Ethel: “What do you think?”

Lucy: “Oh….Ethel, I got an idea. I got a sewing machine and from sheets and such, I will make our costumes.”

Ethel: “Lucy, that’s a great idea. I’ll help you out.”

(They go to make the costumes. On the day of the Easter race, they get in their poorly made rabbit costumes.)

Lucy: “Ethel, we look divine.”

(The boys come by.)

Ricky: “Lucy, what’s up with that bad costume?”

(He laughs.)

Fred (imitating Bugs Bunny): “What’s up doc?”

(Ricky laughs louder.)

Lucy: “Well see who wins.”

(The contestants arrive at the starting line.)

Woman: “On your mark…set…go!”

(They are off. Lucy & Ethel trip, fall into the mud with their faces falling into the eggs and there costumes rip. They have major wardrobe malfunctions where people can see their backsides (which in actuality is not shown to anyone). They have yolk all over his face. Carolyn Appelbee wins.)

Ricky: “Lucy.”

(Lucy laughs then cries.)

(The end.)
