Does anyone know why there was a lack of engagements and weddings for David and Ricky? Their real-life wives, June and Kris, don't have any episodes as girlfriends or fiancés. They are just dropped into the series as wives without any story development.

I've wondered that too. When the series came out on DVD I kept looking for wedding episodes.

June Blair played roles, other than June Nelson, twice on Ozzie and Harriet, both in season 9 (1960).

Her appearance as a secretary, Kathy Carson, in season 9 was used as a season 12 1964 flashback, making us think we are seeing her there as June Nelson.
