The year was 2013 and Game Show Network was already hard at work with hit game shows such as The Chase and after the success of The Chase Game Show Network was planning on developing another show that would be a success and also be unique and involve charities and giving back to the community and testing knowledge of the bible. Thus The American Bible Challenge was born. Hosting The American Bible Challenge was Jeff Foxworthy who gave a warm wonderful side to the show and the gameplay involved teams of charities each led by a captain and teams had to test their bible knowledge and the teams with the highest scores went on to a second round and the same thing was repeated until two teams went on to The Final Revolution Round starting with the first team answering bible themed questions against the clock and then the same thing was repeated for the second team much like Family Feud's Fast Money round with the second team answering the same set of questions and the winning team won a huge money prize for their charity. The American Bible Challenge ran for three seasons on Game Show Network and starting in the second and third seasons The American Bible Challenge focused on music by adding Christian singers and bands such as Kari Jobe and Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary who would also perform mini concerts during the episodes. But just like The Chase The American Bible Challenge was overhyped and was soon cancelled at the same time as The Chase but reruns of The American Bible Challenge could be seen on Up and Bounce for a short time. But this is one game show that could see a reboot on Up because it's rare to see a Christian based game show since Odyssey Channel debuted Inspiration Please in the 90's
