View Full Version : Cartoons you watched as a kid...
I'm sure this has been posted before, but I am gonna post it again anyway...
What was everyone's favorite cartoon growing up. You know, the one you watched every time it was on.
My favorite cartoon was Muppet Babies when I was little. Anyone remember that one?
Cartoons were so much better back then...
LucyFan 09-23-2002, 07:50 PM Hello ,
Great question! :D I watched a lot of cartoons when I was a child (age 1 to age 15). They range from Nicktoons to Disney Cartoons to Warner Brothers Cartoons to Hanna Barbara Cartoons. My favorite cartoons were Mickey Mouse & Gang Shorts, Ducktales, The Smurfs, Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats, and Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers, The Flintstones, Winnie the Pooh. Some of these cartoons I watch when I was real, real younge such as Winnie Pooh while others I watch in my later childhood years such as
Ren & Stimpy. But out of all the cartoons I watched my all-time favorite was Ducktales.
Moonlight Lady 09-23-2002, 07:56 PM Jackson Five cartoon, Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids, Huckleberry Hound, Brady Kids--I'm not proud about that one, All Star Laff a lympics, courageous Cat and minute mouse, Snagglepuss, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Josie and The Pussycats, Magilla Gorilla.
Christopher 09-23-2002, 08:12 PM I watched Gummi Bears, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, DuckTales, Goof Troop, Alvin & The Chipmunks Go To The Movies, X-Men, Tiny Toons and more. Lately I've been watching Gargoyles and they seem to be going into the drama/soap side. Having Goliath have a daughter and him just finding her and Demona turning out to be the mother, its fun to watch. But my favorite cartoons are X-Men, Gargoyles, Gummi Bears, and Chip N Dale.
Georgia's on my Mind 09-23-2002, 08:22 PM I had phases of cartoons....
I can't distictly remember them but it was like duck tales, gargoyles, mighty ducks, rescue rangers, and so many more I forgot....then later on it was histaria...good times, good times....
Oh yes, and Zoosha!
QueenOfTheGypsies 09-23-2002, 08:43 PM Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Hong Kong Phooey, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and The Smurfs were just a few of my favorites...
Mr. Shy Guy 09-23-2002, 08:47 PM I also used to watch Looney Tunes. Once in a while I still do.
Kay Scarpetta 09-23-2002, 08:56 PM Muppet Babies, Sylvester and Tweety Bird, Looney Tunes, The Jetsons, The Flintstones....
DarleneIllyria 09-23-2002, 11:02 PM I watched the Flintstones and the Jetsons a lot when I was a kid. Then I started watching Beavis and Butthead until MTV removed the reruns.
Krystal Lake 09-23-2002, 11:02 PM When your room looks kind of weird and you wish that you weren't there...
Just close your eyes and make believe, and you can be anywhere!
:o I can't believe I still know the theme song by heart.
I watched Muppet Babies, Heathcliff, Garfield and Friends, Alvin and the Chimpmunks, Ducktales, Flintstones, Jetsons, Looney Tunes, and a bunch more..
But my favorite show as a kid was "Land of the Lost."
Marshall, Will and Holly
On a routine expedition
Met the greatest earthquake ever known
High on the rapids It struck their tiny raft (AAAAAARRGGHHH)
And plunged them down a thousand feet below
To the Land of the Lost
To the Land of the Lost
To the Land of the Lost
ROAARRR!

You're absolutely correct - 'Mysterious Cities of Gold' had an amazing theme tune (as did another show on my list - 'The Racoons').
If you'd like to hear the 'Mysterious Cities....' theme again I'll post a link to it later. I found it on a website a few months ago and hearing it again brought back so many memories.
