Just wondering did the show Sanford and Son or any of the cast members ever win award since the show was in the top 5 for for 3 years?

According the TV almanac, nobody ever won a major award for Sanford and Son, nor were they ever nominated. It might be due to the fact that during the heyday of the show, there were many more "classy" shows that the emmy committee likes such as All in the Family, MASH, Mary Tyler Moore, and others. These shows dominate the emmy landscape for most of SAS's run.
