COZI TV, NBCUniversal Local's national multicast network, is partnering with Carsey-Werner Television to shine the spotlight this year on the unheralded star of many memorable scenes from its primetime staple Roseanne – the hit sitcom's iconic couch – through a series of events and special programming, beginning this month. COZI TV today announced a comically over-sized, inflatable Roseanne couch, matching the version used on the show, will embark on a nationwide tour of GalaxyCon fan events, which are scheduled for Richmond, Va., March 15-17; Raleigh, N.C., July 25-28; San Jose, Calif., Aug. 16-18; and Miami, (date TBD).

As part of the initiative, COZI TV will present "Roseanne Couch Week," July 8-12. Comprised of 20 episodes, the multi-part marathon will begin nightly at 11 p.m./10 p.m. ET and will be hosted by an animated, crocheted, afghan-wearing talking couch. Over four episodes per night, the verbose couch will spill the stuffing on behind-the-scenes stories and favorite moments from the show, as well as photos of GalaxyCon attendees’ encounters with the colossal replica. The tour and special week of episodes come as Roseanne is transitioning from standard to high-def episodes, remastered with the use of fast-evolving AI technology that, combined with human artistry, allows studios to convert episodes from their original low-quality tape sources into HD 16x9 master materials on an ongoing basis.

Hmm… good question it’s hard to tell with the black and white sitcoms.

I liked the 227 sofa the best I think! The New furniture one & Just The Ten Of Us sofa.The Brady’s sofa looked like it could have been nice but I prefer there family room set looked comfy. I liked the original Three’s Company & The Golden Girls sofa as well and the last sofa they had at the inn on Newhart.

I love my sitcoms so I think I would of felt honored sitting on any Sitcom couch!

Do you remember The Golden Girls couch? It was wicker and had orange cushions and there was a loveseat that went to it. I always thought it looked like lawn furniture and I wondered why they chose it for The Golden Girls?
