What if babies were really more like props (and we didn't care about their thoughts) to set up the premise of couples that live together in this neighborhood and raising their families? It likely would have to be a prime time, network show instead of being on Nickelodeon.

"Angelica Breaks Her Leg" (https://rugrats.fandom.com/wiki/Angelica_Breaks_a_Leg) is perhaps, one example of a Rugrats episode (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/RugratsS3E7WhenWishesComeTrueAngelicaBreaksALeg) that was more adult centric or more from the adults' point of view.

They would had to rename the show to "Thirtysomething : The Animated Series".

It probably wouldn't be as popular.
