Most people do not get enough sleep.
In our busy lives we have taken sleep from granted!
Sleep isn't a luxury. It's a necessity for optimal brain functioning
and for getting your body to heal and regenerate.
Here are 4 signs you are not getting enough sleep in your life:

1) Sleepiness during the day
2) Forgetfulness and poor concentration
3) Irritability and anxiety
4) Weight gain

Here are the recommended hours of sleep by age:

Newborns: 14-17 hours
Infant (4-12 months): 12 to16 hours with naps
Toddler (1-2 years): 11 to 14 hours with naps
Preschool (3-5 years): 10 to 13 hours with naps
Kid (6-12 years): 9 to 12 hours with naps
Teen (13-18 years): 8 to 10 hours with naps
Adults (18 to 64): 7 to 9 hours
65 and up: 7 to 8 hours

I sleep between 6-8 hours a day.

Are you getting enough sleep daily?

I am getting great quality sleep and usually 9 hrs and then I find myself napping during the day and believe too many naps. I believe my doc who does house calls will be seeing me this week to go over last labs, and I'll ask her Why I Nap so easily???? These naps started a couple yrs ago and prior to that I NEVER napped...

Somebody could get a kid or a teen to take a nap? You could attempt it on a weekend but good luck with that.

Talking with the other group I'm on, we are discussing Melatonin for sleep....I've been working with Melatonin dosing since 1999 and now am taking 1/4mg 30-60 minutes before I'm ready for sleep.

A couple take 10MG and I'm stunned, that is a high hiigh does and can't imagine...they swear by their dose and it's so true how so different all our bodies are.....

Anyone here take Melatonin for sleep. ???

I have taken Melatonin in the past, quite a few years ago. I just sleep naturally now. I figure my body knows when it's tired enough to sleep and I don't sweat how many hours I get. I probably get between six and eight hours most nights.

Consider a small dose of Melatonin say 1/4mg as you can buy 1mg tab and cut into small pieces and work with t his... You could have good sleep results....don't fight sleep. Take the Melatonin at least 1 hr before you want to go to sleep.

And you could even end up with some interesting dreams, make your nights enjoyable....ummmm
