The success of THE FLINTSTONES in the sixties and THE SIMPSONS in the
nineties each ushered in a booming interest in cartoon shows in prime-time,
(As Mighty Mouse once said: "Imitation is the sincerest form of television.")
Anyway, here's my list of prime-time cartoon series from both eras. Many
were short-lived (some of them VERY short-lived). See how many you recall.

The 1960s: THE FLINTSTONES, THE BUGS BUNNY SHOW, THE ALVIN SHOW,
THE BULLWINKLE SHOW, CALVIN & THE COLONEL, THE JETSONS, JONNY QUEST,
THE FAMOUS ADVENTURES OF MR. MAGOO.

The 1990s: THE SIMPSONS, KING OF THE HILL, FUTURAMA, FAMILY GUY, BABY BLUES, CAPITOL CRITTERS, THE CRITIC, FAMILY DOG, FISH POLICE, GARY & MIKE, GOD, THE DEVIL & BOB, HOME MOVIES, MISSION HILL, MTV'S CELEBRITY
DEATHMATCH, THE OBLONGS, THE PJ'S, STRESSED ERIC.

I sure did! I don't know how I missed that one because I have two episodes
that I taped. Thanks!
