I recently saw a documentary on the Susan Smith prison sex scandal and the guard that had the relationship with her lost just about everything.

Good point on Darlie being well known and on death row. She is watched moreso than if she was at a medium security prison. On UM there are many men who got caught, arrested, and sent to prison where as for women it is less. I will have to research other female fugitives who later ended up in prison....

While not impossible, I don't know why there is any reason to believe that it happened, and it seems weird to me to conjecture something like this based on her reputation or her appearance. She has a much higher chance of being caught and punished for that. It would further destroy her steadfast innocence campaign. Any guard who engages in that activity has everything lose than and literally nothing to gain. If she is on death row for murdering her children, I would think that she is getting held to account for what she did. I find it difficult to believe that she is getting preferential treatment other than the media seems to want to keep her case under review while we probably have innocent prisoners out there who don't get any coverage.

Are you talking about the cheryl holland and eddie wooten segment? That's an interesting comparison to Darlie because that was also a brutal crime committed by a loved one. and Cheryl's sister like so many family members came to Cheryl's defense and tried to put the blame elsewhere.

In Darlie's situation it can be the exact opposite! She has nothing to lose thus she gives up and gives into temptation. I think Darlie had sex. And who is to say that she refused sex for the first very long 20 years of her prison sentence to keep up a good front for future appeals AND then she had sex with a prison guard or multiple ones.

Perhaps if Darlie is allowed conjugal visits from her husband, then yes she had sex. But that does not count in this question, since its legal. Im just asking about illegal hookups. Im surprised I did not think of Audrey Marie Hilley right away. She was cheating on her husband before she went to prison. I think Hilley did not have sex behind bars, only as she was granted weekend passes to visit her husband. Otherwise, yes I think she would be the type since she cheated before on her 1st husband. (Im not counting when she had a weekend pass and ran away - of course then she could have had sex with a man she met at some random bar. But i dont think that happened as she died due to being outside in the extreme cold! I say no, Diane probably did not have a long sentence and wanted to get out of prison asap. I'd say.. Who cares? You're half right about Susan Smith.. She was boinking about every guard who would, but if she did with another inmate, there was no discipline for it. Now.. That being said.. Look at the above.. There's one piece of very interesting information on there. Not the mutilation, not the "Character Based Programs" shes been in recently.

It's the parole date. November 4th. Now, that's when she's ELIGIBLE, and.. I suspect that as time gets even closer than the 9 months away it is now.. And the media reports on it.. There'll be enough of an outcry to prevent it, but..

Her ex-husband hasn't been heard from in about 15 years. He's been living quietly, last i heard he had remarried and had another child. Wonder if this will bring him out of the woodwork.

Hi, I was just joking about the Reno 911, sorry. I used to watch that show. You are right, I was going off topic on Susan Smith. I used her as an outside example about Unsolved Mysteries' Darlie segment. I remember seeing a summer special maybe 4 years ago about Darlie. She still maintained her innocence. I like that UM began as a special that aired only 3 or so times per year in 1987 before changing to Stacks regular seasons. Too bad Lifetime or NBC could have continued UM for another few years by only having 3 specials per year. And bring back a host like Virginia Madsen or Keeley Shay Smith!

Or even if it was a rare thing like every 3 years there is one year where we can get 3 UM specials. If not that, have a reunion special every 10 years, like in 2012 and 2022. (In 2012 have Dennis Farina, Virginia Madsen, and Keeley all host it together as a reunion special and all segments that had updates...). If no network desires this, have UM use their YouTube channel or another channel.
