When Lifetime took on as co-producers in 2001 many of the segments had an added update consisting of a blue background, information being typed out,and creepy music playing.
I know the Keri Nixon,Nyleen Marshall, Andolina Gonzalez, more i cant think of right now.

Hi, how are you? I think Lifetime did an update on Dale Kerstetter, but not much new information. I have it on my vhs-blank DVD copy from 12 years ago. I missed most of the Lifetime UM era, I regret that. I only saw a few UM shows on Lifetime. I thought the bright blue update at the end with typing on it was from a fan doing it on their computer lol. Was the creepy music at the end a new tune?

I wonder if Lifetime did another update for Beverly McGowan?! Because her killer committed suicide in 2002 and 2002 was the last year of UM. I think Lifetime had the Elizabeth Campbell "purse update" that had the scary music but no blue screen!

Ethel Kidd had an UM update via LT. So did Richard Relf.

Now I am kinda confused: there are 2 different blue update things at the end of the LT update-segment. One is a dark blue screen with someone typing out the update = I guess this was LT. Another one was a cheesy bright blue computer windows screen, that mentions sitcoms online. This was I think 2006 on my vhs copy - so maybe the Unsolved.com did the update? Or did someone else do the update after UM was done in 2002?

Not sure about the cheesy one that mentions sitcomonline , lossely speculating someone else did it after 2002

Lifetime did their own update about the Kevin Hughes segment around 2003/04 regarding the arrest of Richard Dantonio. It wasn’t a text update. A female voice did the narration.

I think Lifetime was doing updates all along even back into the early/mid 90s? I remember basic text on screen updates prior to the updated blue screen.

I also wonder -- I remember a Robert Stack voiceover update for the Aleatha Evertz segment that I haven't found on any of the original NBC episodes, so I have been thinking it could have been one Stack made that was produced for Lifetime only?

Yeah I remember that one with the female voice over. It was kind of a unique way to do that. The internet listed 2002 as the last year for UM for Lifetime so I assumed there was no more UM on tv, but Lifetime probably continued with re-runs. Did Lifetime continue to do re-runs for UM then from 2003 onwards? Did it stop before the Spike version debut?

I remember when Lifetime had the slogan on their screen as "Lifetime for Women". lol. Then they changed it. I have to check my old videos to see if any UM that was on lifetime had the label "Lifetime for women". I never saw it. I only saw the "Lifetime" slogan for my UM vhs videos

Are you looking for any kind of update as long as its for Lifetime era? Or just that blue background update? Elmer Locker has an update on LT; you can check it out by going to yt and typing E Locker for that segment. (She has lots of old videos that are rare and not on UM's YT or streaming!) Maybe some of her videos have updates, you should watch them this weekend. I just started to look at her first 3 UM segments/videos and found the Elmer Locker one with an update! E Locker

If your time n efforts allow consider uploading your original UM video content onto Internet Archive as it seems to be the most lenient on copyright strikedown amongst the public domain sites. The remastered Filmrise release of more recent times cant compare to the original airdate/Lifetime reruns.

Yes reruns of the show continued on Lifetime Channel until around August 2006. After August 2006 the reruns wee moved to Lifetime's other channel Lifetime Movie Network until sometime in 2008 when the syndication contract expired.

I don’t remember seeing UM on Lifetime after early 2005. They showed back to back episodes from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. throughout Fall of 2004.

I vaguely remember the show appearing on Lifetime Movie Network after that but it was a short stay.

Another memory I have from 2004, Lifetime was going through a habit of playing seasons 7-8 on a loop, constantly. Then someone from this message board (I forget who) actually emailed Lifetime’s website and asked them to air UM episodes from the earlier seasons. The very next day, they started airing season one episodes. It was pretty cool.

Any idea who holds the Television syndication rights now?

Not sure especially in this streaming age, figuring its some deal between Cosgrove-Meur Productions and FilmRise. And as you must know Executive producer John Cosgrove is extremely protective of all the bootleg content of UM that gets posted online, forcing diehard fans to post on invite only torrent sites, dark web, private Facebook groups, unlisted YouTube.

What segments from had an added Lifetime rerun update(blue smokescreen, text update typed out, creepy theme music playing)?

Anyone have them in their UM collection?
