In 2000 while singer Brandy was at her peak she was seen as commercial spokeswoman for Cover Girl and other products but one of the most popular products Brandy got the chance to do was when Mattel decided to make a celebrity doll of her. To help market the doll Mattel decided to launch a commercial which featured two girls performing a "concert" with their Brandy dolls while Brandy herself is singing and dancing in the commercial. The outfit that Brandy is wearing in that commercial is the same one that the Brandy doll wears and the Brandy doll even came with a autographed poster. Based on the Brandy doll's success Mattel launched more Brandy dolls from Super Star Brandy to Holiday Brandy which sang a Christmas song and my favorite Styling Hair Brandy. I think Mattel knew what a success Brandy was and that's why these dolls were such a huge seller in toys
