I have GoodLife and I get it on basic cable not DirecTV. I've had GoodLife for 12 years now, back when it was "Nostalgia."

The full schedule should be available shortly. I wonder if Kotter will be replaced? I know the Warner Bros. Deal was expiring after Sept., so they must have renewed since all those are Warner shows.

WOW!

That's a LOT of shows they're adding! As long as I can see the last 10 episodes of Flamingo Road (I missed them the first time around), I'll be OK. It'd be great if it stayed on the schedule though!

I'll definatly be watching The Courtship of Eddie's Father! My Favorite Martian maybe, same with Chico and the Man. Harry O is a 70s crime drama so I might be interested in that. Not really in to China Beach but Man and Girl from UNCLE I've never seen before, I'll check them out. Same with I Spy. Not really interested in seeing Kung Fu, and they've been airing The Lawman for a long while now, and I don't like it at all (it's a western). Colt 45 is a western too I believe, so I don't think I'll be watching that.

I really wish they could have gotten Falcon Crest or one of Lorimar's short-lived primetime soaps from the early 80s, too...

And I'm not even going to post this list at Goodlife's official forums because those *******s over there will definatly bitch and complain and moan about some of those shows (all the sitcoms, and any post 60s drama) and if someone says they like one of the shows, they'll be insulted by 'the regulars' over there.

But anyways, I'm interested in seeing what the sked will be like! I'm guessing The Color Honeymooners might be reduced to just one night a week. Welcome Back Kotter and F Troop are most likely gone. The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd might be safe, but you never know. Flamingo Road and Homefront are most likely safe, as they are the only shows that can really carry the Romance & Drama night, and none of the new shows seem to fit in that category. I wouldn't mind one bit if any of the westerns of 50s/60s detective series left. I wouldn't mind if any of the military dramas leave either. They all bore me to death.

PS: I have Goodlife on digital cable; I got it in December 2001

I also get Goodlife TV. A good station for oldies. I have Adelphi cable and I remember when it was Nostalga. Many years ago I' d subscribe to their guidebook for Tv guide didn't have the listings. Come to think of it still doesn't in my area. Now I poke on the net to see whats to come. Thank you first poster for telling me the upcoming shows. I also just bump into programs. I should tape some of the Monday shows. I did tape for a while the Warner Brothers shows and the FBI I find this network second to TVLAND. Hallmark maybe third. I love old shows.

I also have it on digital. I was really hoping that they would pick up "Eight is Enough" (another Warner Bros. show). I think it's great that they're adding all those shows, but none of them really excites me that much. There are definitely some rarities, though -- I can't remember the last time I saw "Harry-O" on anyone's schedule (though Lifetime used to run one of the pilot movies pretty frequently about 10 years ago).

"Falcon Crest" would have also been nice, since it was dropped by SoapNet. But GoodLife doesn't "strip" (run 5 days per week) many of their reruns, so they take serials with shorter runs, since it would take forever to get through something like "Falcon Crest" running it once a week. Both "Homefront" and "Flamingo Road" ran for two seasons each, so that makes them just right for the once-a-week treatment. I don't know what other Lorimar/Warner soaps would be realistic, though. "Dallas" and "Knots Landing" are on SoapNet exclusively. "Berringer's" and "King's Crossing" don't have enough episodes (fewer than 13 each, I believe).

I remember TV Land airing an episode of it in October (or September, I don't remember which) as part of an "Angel Heaven 24-7" marathon featuring Charlie's Angels episodes and eps of other shows with the cast in it. I think it also aired a few times then. Wasn't a part of the regular schedule, at least before I got TV Land.

I have had Goodlife since December 2002. I love it. They air their shows uncut and that is a bonus.

And I'm excited to see that The Courtship of Eddie's father will be joining the schedule. That's awesome.

And one person mentioned that they remember GoodLife from back when it was The Nostalgia Channel. Wow, I had no idea that GoodLife used to be Nostalgia. We had that a long long time ago (late 80's) but then my cable company dropped it.

Yeah, I know. FC would be perfect for 5 days a week. "Combat!" and "Highway to Heaven" are the only classic TV shows that run 5 days a week on GTV, and I think they both have been airing like that for several years now.

"Eight is Enough" would be good, too.

Someone posted a schedule on the GTV boards, and though it's probably unreliable, it had all the detective shows on Mondays, war shows on Tuesdays, Westerns on Wednesdays and sitcoms on Thursday and Fridays. I'm 99.9% sure that that is NOT going to be the schedule, because it was never confirmed by anyone from GTV (but no one from GTV ever visits the forums ever anyway).

I just hope that FR and HF stay!

I have a feeling we'll never really see any soaps like Falcon Crest, etc. on any networks besides Soapnet, networks don't have an interest in them, and the rerun value of them is low from what I've read.

Well I guess I won't be watching Goodlife much anymore. I might start watching HF again in the summer. I'll be watching on Saturday and Sunday nights too, but as for the weekdays, nope. "Combat" is grossly overplayed and has been for years. They easily could have fit "Flamingo Road" in somewhere on the schedule. Even if it was on the weekend during the daytime, it would have been perfect for me!

Thank God at least one channel is adding some decent programming with these shows; I haven't seen The Courtship Of Eddie's Father, Chico And The Man, Harry O, The Man From Uncle,
and I Spy for years now. :)
I remember when Goodlife TV was The Nostalgia Channel and Hallmark was The Oddessy Channel (sp?) (a Hallmark & Henson Network). We get Hallmark on basic cable and Goodlife on digital cable here in Louisville. We have Insight Cable. Back before Hallmark sucked wind I had a friend from upstate New York tape Gomer Pyle and My Three Sons for me. Once we finally got it the only thing I liked on it was Hawaii Five-O with its once a week airing at 2:00am Monday morning. They show too darn many depressing shows for me on there: Waltons, Little House, Touched By An Angel. Sap City :(

"Molly Dodd" was always a poor fit for Goodlife.

If you have this channel and have not seen "I'll Fly Away", I strongly encourage you to tune in. It really is a wonderful show, and you won't be disappointed. I'm glad to see it back (it was last aired on Pax quite a few years back).

Yes Solomon it's very stupid of them to air rare and hard to find TV shows UNCUT as they originally aired just because you think they should air them more than once a week.

WHO CARES if they are on once a week? These shows are so hard to come across anyhow and if you did they are probably chopped to heck from the stations that air them. Goodlife doesn't air their shows any other way than original and uncut. I'll take that once a week over cut ups or not at all.

I'm still wondering why the person who started this thread annouced they can record CATM episodes if it's only be aired once a week. And how do we even know if Goodlife will Air CATM for 2 or more years. So that's why I don't see the point in annoucing that CATM can be recorded off of Goodlife if someone needs them.

And second, Goodlife doesn't change skeds as often as TVLand. Besides dropping "Highway to Heaven" in September, the current sked remained unchanged for most of the time between June 2003 and now...

I agree 100% with you, "Nanny Fine"!

Goodlife TV is one of my favorite networks because they do an outstanding job of airing rare TV shows uncut and with an entertaining introduction by host Nick Clooney.

(Mr. Clooney's introductions are similar to the movie introductions that Robert Osborne does for Turner Classic Movies. I don't know whether Clooney will provide introductions for the programs on the new schedule, however.)

Goodlife provided me the opportunity to see "77 Sunset Strip" for the first time as well as early TV appearances of some of my favorite actors, including Martin Milner, David Cassidy, Edd Byrnes, Pernell Roberts, and Michael Landon. In fact, all five actors were mentioned prominently in Mr. Clooney's introduction for their respective episodes!

I enjoy both TVLand and Hallmark and I appreciate the opportunity they have given me to see some of my favorite TV shows, including "Adam-12," "Leave it to Beaver," and "Bonanza." But Goodlife makes watching TV an extra special treat!

You don't have a point ~ you are just complaining about something that shouldn't be complained about. Goodlife should be PRAISED for this!

and I can tape anything that is airing as well. This station will probably be playing in my house 7 nights a week. I was already taping daily with Highway to Heaven and on Tuesday/Friday and Saturdays.

Goodlife is amazing and I'm thrilled with the new additions, even for shows I've never seen.
