By "intense", I mean that they're like on 100 decibels while everyone else is more relaxed and subtle in terms of inhabiting their roles. Basically, they're one of those actors who has to "win" every scene that they're in. It's like, there's no "down" mode for them on screen and there's no joy from anything.
