I guess you are only counting comics who never starred on a sitcom which made it beyond a pilot or actually aired.

Rodney Dangerfield starred in the 1990 NBC unsold pilot Where's Rodney?.

Dennis Miller
Adam Sandler (4 episodes as Smitty on The Cosby Show)
Carrot Top (Scott Thompson)

Of course

Plus the fact that I forgot about that.

Fun fact (well, fun for me). Of the 3 new shows that aired the night the Rodney pilot aired, Sydney had the highest ratings among them.

302399Of what they list anyway. One of those days with a missing glitch not showing ABC from 9-11.

Maybe that was a 3 hour MacGyver strung together with yo-yos and duct tape.

But for real I’d be willing to bet that on that Monday night in June ABC didn’t air anything new from nine to eleven that would beat a 9.9

Mitch Hedburg (YouTube him if the name’s not familiar) never did one, although he sadly died young and maybe would have eventually.

There's an interesting note on the Mitch Hedberg Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitch_Hedberg).

"Concurrent with his rising fame in the entertainment industry, Hedberg appeared on Letterman nine more times, signed a half-million-dollar deal with Fox for a television sitcom, and was dubbed "the next Seinfeld" by Time magazine."

Bill Hicks was another Letterman regular who sadly died young at age 32.

Remember the time when Letterman had a Bill Hicks segment cut from a show and then many years after his death had Bill’s mother on to apologize to her and finally air it?

Nate Bargatze, a current big name in the stand up world (has hosted SNL), hasn’t done one yet.

Sidenote- From the photos I’ve seen of Torgo, Nate looks like Torgo. But I’ll save that for my upcoming ’Famous stand up comics who look like Sitcoms Online posters’ thread.

I believe that Rita Rudner's never starred in a sitcom (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but I think she's guest starred in episodes of some sitcom series.

I watched the video on Don Giller's channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHXkTTlgLxI) a few years ago. It was a classy move by Letterman to apologize.

Paula Poundstone

She did the voice for one season for the animated sitcom Home Movies. She has never starred on a live-action sitcom.

Judy Tenuta made some guest appearances, but she never starred on a sitcom.

An obvious one hasn't been mentioned: Johnny Carson.

Though he appeared in several movies, including Caddyshack, Rodney Dangerfield was never in any sitcom.

It showed why he got no respect.

Dane Cook's Next Caller (2012) was scrapped before it even aired.

When he was younger, he appeared midway on the short-lived Maybe This Time (1995) with Marie Osmond.

Two more, one going back a little, one more contemporary.

Emo Phillips. Had his heyday a bit ago. Think the last thing he popped up in was that Weird Al movie on Roku

Anthony Jeselnik. More recent. Can be really dark, really “tasteless”, but really funny.

Since I just saw her latest stand up special, tossing in Nikki Glaser.
