My thing is, out of sight, out of mind.
That's my attitude toward life.
So I don't have any romanticism

I was reading Marcus Aurelius and these are paraphrases that reflect his Stoicism:
- Human ignorance is involuntary, we must be willing to teach. Evil is not from malice, but from ignorance.
- The law of nature always flows, scriptures do not.
- Everything in nature shares the same origin and must be respected.
- Technology should not harm nature.
- Humanity is neither above or below nature.
- The path to virtue is hard and self-reflection is important.
- Hard work and discomfort are essential for success.
- No form of authority holds absolute truth or reason, views and opinions can change.
- Nature constantly changes - is never the same.
- Pleasure and pain is neither good or bad and is unavoidable for both good and bad people. Morality does not equate to good or bad things happening to oneself - karma does not exist.
- Forgiveness is from the self and not from others.
- Wealth and power should be given up if it gets in the way of virtue.
- Fear of a bad reputation can prevent those from doing what is right.
- Nothing is inherently good or bad unless it gets in the way of virtue.
- Being virtuous may require the giving up of ones life.
