"Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" Gets Premiere Window at HBO

We’re getting a bit more information about the latest "Game of Thrones" spinoff. During the Warner Bros. Discovery earnings call Friday, CEO David Zaslov revealed the prequel, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight" is currently in pre-production and will premiere in “late 2025.”

Ordered to series in April 2023, the prequel is based on George R.R. Martin‘s Dunk & Egg fantasy novellas. Martin and Ira Parker will write and executive produce. House of the Dragon co-creator/exec producer/showrunner Ryan Condal and Vince Gerardis will also executive produce.

The prequel series debut will follow the Season 2 premiere of "House of the Dragon" in summer 2024.

Ahead of the January 18 premiere of HBO‘s "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms", the "Game of Thrones" prequel has been renewed for a second season to debut in 2027.
