Pamela Britton passed away on this day in 1974 from a brain tumor.Although overshadowed by Walston and Bixby, her talent and charming potrayal of Mrs. Brown made a definite immpression on me.Dramatic actress,comidienne,dancer,singer-there was nothing she couldnt do,and superbly.I wish her role on the show had been enlarged somewhat so that more of the full use of her talents had been utilized. She died far too young, and had so much more to give.Thinking of you today,Pamela.

I also remember her in the title role of the first TV version of Blondie.
She played opposite the silver screen's original Dagwood, Arthur Lake. A fine
comedic actress.

Id also like to point out that in edition to her talents,Pamela is well remembered for her kindness and professionalism.Eveyone on the MFM set loved her.She also had a great sense of humor. The Australian release of MFMs third season includes a bonus DVD with her home movies.Watch it and youll see what I mean.

It would be nice if somebody put together a website about Ms.Brittons life and carreer. She was a lot more than just Mrs.Brown, having a stage and film carreer that went back to the 1940s.I was browsing around and found one on Hazel Court. If she can have a website, how about Pamela? It would also be nice if they put together a book on MFM.
