Hi!

I used to stay up late and watch Burns and Allen re-runs on CBN (now the Family Channel) at 11PM central time weeknights. I'd prop the cassette recorder next to the TV and tape them. I still have all those tapes! A few years later, I got a VCR and taped them all again. Unfortunately, those VCR tapes are no longer playable :(. I was very excited to see that TVLand would be playing the shows, but disappointed to see they are not starting from Season 1 or running in any type of meaninful order. I wonder if they would respond to emails requesting that?

Welcome to the B&A board, Jen. Since the show isn't on too often, the board is kind of slow. I think that with some "oomph" from all of us we can get it kicking.

I, too, love B&A, but I've always been a bigger fan of their old radio programs. I have several tapes that I have recorded from the radio off NPR and I've also purchased some from ebay and other spots. Gracie's intelligence is totally unique...

Don't ever expect them to show season one or two. Those first couple of years those shows were done live instead of on film, so all that survives are low quality kineoscopes.
