I don't get my parents...I don't like them either..

My mother can be reasonable at times, but my father. Let's not even get into that. I hate him. Plain as day.

I hate 'em. Die.

I never understood why my mom would never let me leave the house wearing sweat pants. And I'll never understand why my dad's so %#@&% obsessed with money. It's annoying!

You're not the only one I'm guessing. Well my dad started a feud with the neighbors over money and guess hwo he pulled form the computer chair and into teh neighbors face by force. Just guess. I hate him so much. And after tonight, my whole family does.

My God! I should def. count MY blessings. I must be the only lucky one on here who gets ALONG with their parents. Except for the New York thing, but whatever..Im 18!!! OK. I have to complain about my mom now. SHE IS BEING SO MEAN. You know what she just said to me two minutes ago?? "Do I have to tell you how to do EVERYTHING??? I thought you were smart!" Gosh. Well, she thought wrong, didn't she? :rolleyes:

And she is so unreasonable. Do you know what she made my sister and me do when we got back from China? She made us write a two-paged essay, 12 sized font, on what we did there. I was like, OMG! And then she decides in addition to that, we have to write what we learned about China, pros and cons about China, and China compared to America. So I write that, she reads it, and guess what? "I am not satisfied with this."

SHE MAKES ME SOOOO MAD. I DON'T KNOW HOW I STAY ALIVE.

OK. Sorry. I had to get that off my chest.

I can only explain my relationship with my parents in one way. Sometimes we can get along okay, sometimes all we want to do is scream at each other, and other times I feel like I'm speaking some kind of alien language to them.

They do allow me to do what I want. They know me pretty well and know that I won't do anything too stupid. I guess now that I'm 18, they allow me to have my freedom. When I was younger though, I had to follow rules that I felt were kind of stupid. Sarah brought up the whole black nail polish debate in her house on the boards, and I had to go through the same thing a few years ago myself. I explained that in another post, so I won't go into that here.

I actually get along with the parentals. My mom dresses and acts like she's 20. Hell, she still gets carded sometimes. And she's gonna be 40. My dad...he's pretty cool.

The only time I can't stand em is when they tell me I'm spoiled...but then again...I am...

Good choice, I hafta say. You wouldn't want my mom. Her additude can get really ugly. My dad is nice, however. But they still don't spoil me. I am FAR from spoiled.

Yeah...but it wasnt just like the things they BOUGHT me that had me spoiled. I NEVER EVER had chores. All I had to do was have a nice clean room (which to this day, is not). I never had to do the dishes..vacuum, feed the dogs, wash the windows, make my bed...NONE of that. Then, I turned like 15 and my Dad was like DO THE DISHES! etc. and I hated it! See, to me, I think if they had me do things like that when I was younger instead of doing them for me, I wouldnt hate doing them so much, and I wouldnt do such a crappy job. (Ok, Id still hate it, but anything for an excuse). I even told them they over-spoiled me by having me do NOTHING. lol. Yeah, they bought me toys and stuff...but they wouldnt spend no big moocho bucks neither on something stupid. Just a Barbie here and there. Your life sounds fun! Even if I were closer to my parents I'd be happy. But.... yeah. It doesn't happen to me. I get what you're saying about the chores thing, though. My mom has me working a lot--often I have to make dinner, wash the dishes, clean my room, dust, vacuum, etc. (I don't get paid though...*sigh*) but at least I'm KIND OF used to it, lol. It's not as bad as when I first started.

I get along with my parents pretty well, I love them. I felt like an only child myself. My brother and sister are 16 and 12 years older than me. I got spoiled too. I still do, but not as much now that I have my own job. Now I can spoil them, which is cool.

Yeah. I never got an allowance (I never did anything so why should I?). Although, in 7th grade I think it was I told my mother I wanted an allowance. So every Friday, I got $5--that lasted like 2 weeks! lol. And Im not even that CLOSE to my parents. I get along and stuff and joke but Im not all lovey dovey or anything. I am closer to my Dad though. I read in like 17 magazine a few years ago or some magazine that some kids said in Wisconsin that they get like $80/week for an allowance. What do they do for $80?!? If my kid wanted $80/week theyd be doing the whole house!! lol. I also think my parents got lucky with me. They never had ANY of the "talks" (drugs, sex, etc...), and I didnt do any of those. I tell them they should be proud of me because I could be some knocked-up crack addict lol but they just tell me to get over it. lolol:happyface But it is true. Nowadays, its like a GIVEN to talk to your kids atleast once or they might do something stupid, IMO.

Yeah. A lot of times I felt quilty when my mother bought me all this stuff even if I didnt ask because of the way I think of her when Im mad. But my Dad spoils me every once in a while too..but its mostly my mom. But like I said I act good and I (got) good grades..they werent as great as they were when I was in 7th grade..but I tried. My dad was always like..I never see you doing homework! Its because I do it in school lol. Why do homework @ home if you can get it done @ school. Then you have a whole nite to yourself!

Blech:( . Im sorry for that! I dont like it when parents expect so much out of their children when it comes to grades. I knew people in school who would get grounded because they got a B on their report card!!!! To me, that just makes the kid do worse. BTW...was China fun?:D Ive always wanted to go there!

omg, my dad always is like that about my makeup. its like, i only wear blush, eye makeup, a dab of concealer and clear lipgloss!! o, and when guys call me he is like "so whats going on w/ (fill in the name)" he assumes the very worst of everything its sooooo annoying.

Yeah...sorta, I guess lol. Once, when I was like 8 or 9, I didnt feel good, so I did what I always did- go into my parents room and tell my mother. I walked in and saw them both naked on the bed. They werent doing anything...just watching wrestling! lol. Well..not FULLY naked. I didnt see my dad..but I noticed my mother was topless...but I only saw her back. So I was only slightly messed-up. lol Imagine though if they were going at it!:eek: :eek: :eek: ::shivers:: Something NO kid should see!!!

I do have all the internet access I want (I was on all day yesterday)
I get a lotta new clothes...and my mom doesn't usually worry aobut prices if it looks good

No Offense to any of the spoiled kids here, but I really always hated all my spoiled cousins and relatives where each member of the family has their own room, bathroom, fun room, etc. and their parents work so little time and get so much money and all the kids do are stay homeall day long, sit around teh pool drinking their chillaid with lemon slices and then they flaunt all their money in my face and their all happy cause they live in the rich burbs of Chicago and think I'm poor because I live in a working-class neighborhood in Chicago. Then they ask me if I got the new PLaystation whatever which just cmae out a week ago or so. Then they have like every single movie in their family room that ever came out on VHS and DVD. It's so damn sick and I hate all my rich little realtives because they think they are princessess and I'm a lowly peasant. No offense to anyone here, but they all just piss me off because while I work and hold a steady job and save moeny, I can't afford as much, when they just do nothign all day and have the world delivered to them on a nice clean silver platter. They always have new clothes every week while I can go on owning jeans for months, cause I liek to wear them, not because I have nothing new to wear. They get all upset when they don't get things their way and cry until they do. That just makes me freakin' pissed off as hell. I'm sorry if I offneded anyone here.

Yeah, it's annoying. She says going to China is a once in a life time experience (I agree with that) and that she wants us to learn as much as possible from it (I agree with that). But I DON'T agree that having us write an essay is the way to do it. Especially if she's going to be so picky about it. Experience is the best teacher.

Oh, and China was neat! It was interesting...there are like 238402394738 people riding bikes lol and you barely so cars... but there ARE a lot of motorcycles. It was really hot and humid, there though, ugh.

No...and I am VERY glad lol. If that ever happened, I would probably die on the spot, but if I didn't, I'd pack my bags and get out of the house!

My dad is so protective of me and I have no idea why? It might be cause of the fact that I am his only daughter left at home and after I leave it will be him and mom. He told me he was in no hurry for me to leave home.

My parents worked a LOT. My mom worked 7 days a week (she LOVED overtime..I think shes crazy..but whatever! lol). We do NOT live in the "rich" subburbs..we live Danville, NH. Look it up on a map..itll take a while to find it! Its a small hicky town. And I am NOT a snob..my mother HATES snobs, and she'll tell you to your face if she doesnt like you! Im not offended, but I think you have the words SPOILED and SNOBBY mixed up. Yes, spoiled tend to be snobby..but some (like myself) get lucky and are taught morals and manners.

I wasn't meaning it towards you, but towards the ahtred to those relatives of mine. And yes I did mean that they were spoiled and snobby. They get whatever they want in the snap of a finger. It's sick and I hate them all.

I was at my frined's birthday party last January, and there were about 10 of us in the living room. Well, this one girl was being kinda bored, so she opened a drawer in the China Cabineta nd there was this Penthouse Magazine in the drawer and when she took a look at it her eyes bulged out she screamed and said "Oh my God.....I just saw a whole bunch of p***y" :rotflmao: OOOOOMG! We died laughing!!!!! And his parents were in the next room over!!!! Thankfully, they didn't know a whole buncha English.

yah so me and my parents get along pretty well....me and my dad are wicked tight and he lets me do whatever I want basically cept my mom is like opposite and we fight sometimes...but not as often anymore, its prob. cuz im a brat and I always want what I want...eh I am spoiled...least I am not in denial...when I was younger like in middle school...gezze they couldnt come with in 2 miles of me...I was a realllllly big brat then, but now its alright, I should be thankful they give me rides everywhere with my friends and stuff and I get a 35$ allowence for not doing anything and get basically any hockey stuff I want

my parents give me a 52 dollar allowance, i do nothing. Mom cleans my room for me,. I have 24/7 internet access and my own phone line (getting a cell in sept) X Box, PS, and PS2, N64, and something else but i forget what... Oh ya and Super Nintewndo and Nintendo but they're OUTDATED! I get all the clothes I want and can have frineds over any day pof the week and i have a pretty DVD player in the living room and I had another lying around for me but we lost it. We lost our jet ski for a while too, but we found it. It was in the corner of the driveway. Dad promised to buy me a sports car when i turn 16 orn17 (or whenever i get my permit) they dont have sex EVER because they sleep in seperate rooms (my grandpa moved in so we have to build a new room so dad sleeps in my room because he gets up early and i sleep with my bro and my mom in his room. Actallu my grandpa ALWAYS lived here but she decided to be dumb and give papa my parents room just to make life with them a little harder) during the day i get my room tho. they buy me lots of expensive stuf and when poor people annoy me i like to wear it and make em feel bad. But usually i just wear old baggy cruddy clothes. but its when ur friend makes you mad and u can walk ion and go "h no, I have to go shopping... Ive won this outfit TWICE in 4 months!!!" I am spoiled. but recently i gave my aunt some of my clothes and donated the rest to old will so now I only have a storage box of jeans, a storage box of winter shirts and a storage box of summer shirts. I dont like all that expensive stuff anymore.

And after all that I still cant stand my parents. Shes too overprotective. She thinks if she s[ends lots of money on me and lets me sit out by our inground poor with an expensive bikini i'll be sociable and have lots of freinds.

I don't have a close relationship with my parents. I don't talk to my dad. He's not in my life at all. I don't know if I like it like that. But I guess he just chooses to stay out of my life.

But my parents know nothing about my personal life. Such as dating. They think I have some girlfriend. But I don't. I've just been dating a few people. Nothing serious. I have no idea where they got the idea I have a girlfriend. They also don't know that when I was 17 I went to two different parties and got drunk. Although I have to say I'm doing better off at 19 then they were doing at 19. At 19 my mom was drinking and had a child already. Me. And my step dad had been in jail already. so I don't know why they complain so much. Espeically when I lend them money some of the time. and I baby sit for them.

I think if I weren't their son. I would have nothing to do with them.
