I am happy to report that Gabriel Melgar is alive and well. He lives in Colorado with his wife Christina and two children. He no longer is in the "business" as he is a Biomedical engineering technician. He can be reached at gabrielmelgar@hotmail.com

So glad that he is well and happy. He was brought in a no-win situation when he joined the show. So glad it didn't hinder him in the game of life.

i think he was on an episode of the love boat playing a young boy in an orphanage that Robert Urich and his wife on the show end up adopting.
the baby they arrive to pick up is no longer available when the mother changes her mind and they choose the boy....an adjustment for all and a happy ending
