Thanks Pav. They're probably saving the Thanksgiving reunion episodes for Thanksgiving (I hope). It'll be nice to see Archie Bunker's Place. I'm hoping in November they will continue with "new" episodes, but I have my doubts... But, anything is better than nothing!

You can always immediately tell if Edith is in an episode because Jean Stapleton is not listed as a guest star, but in her customary place above the opening title with Carroll O'Connor.

BTW, "Edith Gets Hired" is essentially a sequel to the AITF episode "Edith Gets Fired", and deals with Edith's going to work at a center for the mentally ill after being fired from the Sunshine Home.

What the heck is up with this episode, "Barney and the Ho"? What in the world is Barney doing hooking up with a Ho? Who plays the Ho? And isn't Barney married? I can't beleive they based a whole episode around Barbey shacking up with some Ho.

Actually the name of the episode is “Barney and the Hooker” In the episode Murray Bails Dotty the hooker (who had previously appeared earlier that season in "Archie and the oldest profession") out of Jail. Murray is then able to convince Archie that they should hire her as a waitress so sho she can give up prostitution. Soon the recently divorced Barney who does not know about Dotty’s past as a prostitute (Barney did not appear in "Archie and the Oldest profession" and did not know abot Dotty ) asks her out this soon leads to Barney proposing marriage not having a clue about her past.

They lose rights I think to ABP and Gloria after December 31. TV Land will be showing another episode of Gloria soon, stay tuned.

So, maybe TV Land only reached to the 27th episode, but I'm glad they had the effort to bring it back. I was expecting to see the whole series, but I have to hand it to TV Land for just showing "Archie Bunker's Place". It was just nice to see the sitcom, maybe will have another shot at seeing this sitcom, again on another network or possibly on a DVD or VHS set.

Who knows if ABP gets good rateings maybe TV Land will consider buying rights to the entire run. Lets get all our frends to watch it and inturn get their friends to watch it and lets see it ABP can make a dent in the Cable Neilsons at the very least enough to tell TV land that it will have respectable loyal audience like a show suchy a Barney Miller.

the only problem with this idea is that "Archie Bunker's Place" can only get 'good' ratings if it's shown at a decent time. i'm bias with that issue because i work second shift and i can't be home to watch it...only on Sunday nights! i'm really glad that i've got to see what few of the episodes that i can...i've got them on tape now. i don't think TV Land should air the program on such a limited time frame. it just hit the air again and already i read about it being taken off at the end of December? that doesn't make much sense, does it? they oughta air "Archie Bunker's Place" everynight at 8pm instead of "The Cosby Show" or "Cheers". i mean, those two shows left the air in the early '90s and are still airing in network syndicated reruns and have no place on a channel that airs shows that have went off the air well before 1985! i see no problem with Nick at Nite or TV Land airing "All in the Family" followed by "Archie Bunker's Place" at the 8 or 9 hour.

I'm happy they are airing at least 30 episodes (First 27, the one from the box set in Febuary, the one this month in a box set, and the last episode). I never would've expected to have seen this if they hadn't aired it. I wish they would air all of them, but I guess 27 episodes is better then none.

Which episode are they stopping at for the second time around? I'd like to pick up the few eps I missed first time. They stop showing them Dec 31st right?

December episodes are not out yet, but I assume they will stop at #27 again the second time around. The show will be gone after Dec 31, I know they have a last episode marathon coming on Dec 31, and ABP's last episode will air in it, as well as in the Box Set on Dec 1.

And I can't understand why they would show Home Again before Archie Alone. Edith is already dead in Home Again. AA is the death episode, even though they don't show Edith dying but it is a death episode.
