I personally do NOT like the new look of Arnold's. I realize that they had to make it look more 60's and like a pub, since the main characters were all in their late 20's. However I still preferred the buzzing 50's diner with uniformed waitresses.

What do you all think?

I agree, too. The new Arnold's was nothing like the old one. I especially like the black and white checkered floor and the car hops on roller-skates of the old Arnold's. The new Arnold's (I believe appeared in 1980) was just a sign of what was going to happen to the show in the future. For instance, the Fonz going from organizing drag races to organizing a classroom! One guess as to which was more fun to watch. But Happy Days at its peak (1974-1976) was an excellent show.

How did anybody feel about the restroom, in the NEW ARNOLDS' having a desk for The Fonz,just because he always called it HIS OFFICE?

I thought he should have a desk in his office but I thought it kinda odd that he'ed want to have an office with a desk in the bathroom. It was ok when he just went in there to like give advice to the guys Richie and etc. But I think having a desk in there too was kinda silly. Why would he want the bathroom as his office? It probably smelled rather unpleasant and well there are other reasons why its kinda silly. It sure was unpleasant for me since I am The Fonz's leather jacket. =) j/k

Yeah, who'd want a desk inside the men's room? Imagine sitting at your desk and right in front of you...people peeing at the stalls. I doubt that anyone as cool as the Fonz would consider that "cool".

I also miss the 50's checkered floor with Marsha waiting at the tables, kids dancing to the latest swingin' 50's hit, chocolate malts. Much more happening.

The pub atmosphere didn't cut it for me. As well as the picnic benches at the table. Doesn't look comforting at all.

I Think everyone liked the Original Arnolds Better. But i gotta say, i loved the Saloon style sliding doors in the New Arnolds :lol:
