I have been watching the reruns of Chico and realize that he really was incredibly talented. What a terrible shame that he is not here today. I could see towards the end of his life he had lost a considerable amount of weight and in one scene with Caesar Romero, it looked like he was REALLY crying and sad. As it turned out, it was right at the end of his life. His catch phrase, "looking good" was all my son would say when he was 3 yrs old, as we watched the show every week....God Bless Him.

I was searching some of the earlier posts to see if we could find some more to talk about oin the boards here and found this very touching entry on the first page and thought it would be cool to share again.

There were other episodes where Chico cried. The one where Ed Brown thought he'd lost his touch his touch as a mechanic & he tells Chico what he thinks Chico would've told him to cheer him up & Chico cries.

Also the episode where Ed Browns tries to get rid of Chico & he tells Chico he should've been a dr or lawyer instead of some garage mechanic, I noticed when Ed said that to Chico, Chico looked really hurt & started tearing up. Freddie looked so hurt & teary. I noticed when he was getting ready to leave the garages office & go back out into the main garage, he teared up & looked so hurt & I noticed he choked up & swallowed hard like he was about to bust out bawling or something. & When he walked out into the main garage he looked like he was about to reach in his pocket for a hankie. Then he turned around to go back to Ed & I noticed he started to smile thru his tears.

Also in the episode where Ed Brown is upset at his ex-friend Guerra & Chico tries to get them back together, I noticed he actually cried in that episode. In the scene where Chico had Guerra go up to Ed Brown in his room & make up, I noticed Chico had tears in his eyes & I saw tears streaming down his face.

The Juniper Sierra episode where the garage is gonna get torn down to become a power station. Ed tells a sad storey about being an old man to keep them for tearing the garage down. CHico, Louie & Rev Bemis are in tears & you can see Chico wiping tears from his eyes.

The bathtub episode. Chico says now he's not only without a bathtub but is about to be homeless too. When he says that he walks across the room & is in tears.

When Chico's girlfriend Marilyn breaks up with him he tears up there...

Those are the episodes along with the ones you mentioned-- the Padre episode & the Lisa episode, where he Chico cried...

I can't see that chico is crying in the lost touch episode i think he is being silly, i think he is pretending to cry trying to cheer ed up because it is so different from the padre episode and the bathtub episode where you can see the emotion on his face and hear it in his voice.
But you can definately tell that Chico is a kind and sensitive man

In the lost touch episode he tells Ed you convinced me & I got the impression fromt he way he & Ed were talking that it really made him cry. Either way he was really sensitive & caring & a sweet person. I think he really got into the role of Chico... :)
