I have noticed this before but wanted to see if any other BIG FANS like myself recognized it. It seems that in the first few seasons Barbara's hair color is alot more golden. Then in the later seasons like 4 and 5 it is more blondish I guess you can call it. I like her hair both ways they are both good colors on her. Also Brunette wasn't so bad on her either.
Dr. Bellows thinks you're a walking epidemic. That is better than thinking I am a walking Genie.

When Barbara had the short hair it was her hair, but later in the show when her hair was a bit longer she was wearing wigs. It was common in the 60s for actress to wear wigs. Another 60s icon that wore wigs was Barbara Feldon, mostly known for her role as 99 in Get Smart. In the 5th season the of I dream of Jeannie the longer hair was Barbara Eden's. The reason why Barbara's hair was lighter in season 5 is her hair changed color in the sun as her long hair was exposed longer to the sun than short hair.
I hope you understood that.
The same thing happens to my hair my roots are jet black when my hair is exposed to the sun it turns brown.
On the other hand she could have put peroxide in it for the 5th season. But I have notice that her roots been darker and the rest of her hair lighter.
