Did you all know he was very Bitter towards Lucy and Desi after an argument with Desi? he had such animosity for them for the rest of his life, that he praised both their deaths. The actor that played Jerry i believe died in 93

He was just plain bitter. Before Lucy, he worked on Fanny Brice's show and he had nothing but nasty things to say about her as well. The man obviously had issues.

I never liked him anyway! But he did have one of the BEST stories though about the show! He was so happy to get regular work on a series and so proud that he told his dad he would buy him aTV set so his dad could watch him on the show. Seems his dad used to watch wrestling in the neighborhood storefront that sold TV's, but he never went inside, he just watched from the sidewalk, so he never heard anything, but with wrestling it did not really matter. So when he offered his dad a set, the father refused saying no, wait till they have sound, the movies figured out how to do it and in time TV will too!

Well from what I've heard and read, Jerry and Desi had an argument during the filming of the episode where Lucy and Ricky are interviewed as a happily married couple. Jerry (the character) was supposed to call Ricky early on in the episode and let him know he'd arranged this interview. During rehearsals the phones were not hooked up, so each had to depend on their cue to know when to talk (since they were on different sets). The phones were supposed to be hooked up by tape time, but they weren't, and so I think Jerry kept messing up until finally Desi reamed him out in front of cast, crew, and the entire audience.
I've always heard that it was very difficult for Jerry to get through the rest of that episode, especially since he and Desi had a sit-down scene later on in the night club (where Jerry tells Ricky that he sent out all the invitations with his name forged on them). If you watch the scene carefully you can notice that he tries very hard not to make eye contact with Desi throughout it, and when he does, he's smiling uncomfortably.
I hadn't heard the stuff about him hating other people too, and like others have said, considering that, the guy probably had issues! I thought the Lucy/Desi situation was an isolated incident, but if there were others, perhaps he had only himself to blame...

You are obviously more observant than I am. I knew about that story, but always found it interesting that Desi and Jerry seemed to do that final scene with such ease in spite of what just happened. But I guess I wasn't focusing on whether they were able to look at one another.

I saw him on a Lucy show on the weekend and was shocked that he had been hired, but then again, his feud or argument was with Desi!
