In the episode about Cindy tattling, when the postman brought Alice's letter, Cindy appeared to be home all alone, as Alice and Carol drove up, then Mike came home. Greg and Marcia didn't seem to be home, I wonder if that was common back then

I was six and we lived in San Jose, California. I stayed home alone all day, all the time.

My parents took turns calling me every hour and one always came home at lunch. We had a special ring, ring, hang up, ring again and answer sequence going on. I stayed in the family room which could not be seen from the outside of the home.

Man, those were the days. It's when I fell in love with Pete Duel from Alias Smith and Jones and Peter Breck from The Big Valley.

I think I was 10 when I stayed home by myself, my mom made a short trip to the store and asked me if I wanted to try staying home by myself. I wanted to see if I could, and I remember I was scared to death, just the idea that I'm literally the ONLY one here for the first time. After that it was a sinch, I loved being home alone lol But I remember the first time it was like a whole new world lol
