In 1997 the song I Love You Always Forever became a top hit and introduced us to a talented singer from the UK named Donna Lewis. I Love You Always Forever was the first single from Donna's debut album Now In A Minute and proved that she was a new rising star. After her famous duet with singer Richard Marx called At The Beginning debuted on the animated movie Anastasia soundtrack Donna Lewis released her second album Blue Planet in 1999 then she disappeared and I was surprised that Donna Lewis had disappeared so soon because she had an amazing voice that was so cute and I Love You Always Forever was such a popular song it was played all the time in stores and the radio when it came out and I even got the single of it too. Why did Donna Lewis disappear from the music scene so soon? Because she was talented and deserved better promotion
Well, for all that it's worth, this video by Todd in the Shadows has its own explanations (https://todd-in-the-shadows.fandom.com/wiki/I_Love_You_Always_Forever) (language warning):

In a nutshell, Todd argues that Donna Lewis simply peaked or broke through at the wrong time. Donna's brand of easy-listening, folksy pop would've felt more at home in either the early '90s (alongside Wilson Philips) or the early 2000s (alongside Dido), but not in the late '90s, when she dropped "I Love You Always Forever".

I think the main reason why Donna Lewis never became huge was because she was on Atlantic Records and when you look at Atlantic Records they were mainly focused on promoting popular singers such as Brandy and Monica and with Donna Lewis added to their label Atlantic Records knew Donna would take the spotlight away from Brandy Monica Aaliyah and Jewel who were Atlantic's big female singers of the 90's. But I found a copy of Donna Lewis's album Now In A Minute at a thrift shop once and liked her songs but one song that should've been a single but it was the b-side of the I Love You Always Forever single was a ballad named Simone and when you listen to that ballad it's very beautiful and soothing and Donna's voice is so cute when she sings the song and the lyrics of Simone are almost like a lullaby
