Still bummed out about the Lions. I don’t care about the NFL, but this team has NEVER been in it, one of only four teams to never make an appearance. I live abroad and tried to watch it on YouTube to no avail but periodically checked the score on ESPN. Looked good for the Lions but then the Niners came back and knew it wasn’t going to happen.

Many have criticized the coach for not going to Field Goals and going for it and failing on Fourth Downs. Dunno. I’ll watch the highlights in a few days.

It seems that Detroit is somewhat making a come back as a city, but in many ways, it is still a depressing, challenging place and I really wanted this for them.

Well of course the Chiefs have to be in the Super Bowl, otherwise the idiots in the media wouldn't have Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift to talk about. :crazy: :lol: Who cares about that crap, I certainly don't. :p

I haven't watched NFL Football in quite a while, I lost interest in it several years ago.

And if the Oakland A's end up relocating to Las Vegas, which at this point seems nearly a certainty, then I'll be done with baseball too.

Back in 1978 the A's were very nearly sold and relocated to Denver but at the last moment the deal didn't go through and they didn't move so I'm holding on to a slight glimmer of hope. But this time around it does appear that they will indeed be moving. The A's have the worst owner in baseball and the politicians in Oakland seem to be completely inept with regards to sealing a stadium deal to keep the A's in Oakland, it's just a bad situation all around there.

If the deal in Las Vegas doesn't go through, Salt Lake City Utah seems to be interested to have the A's relocate there.

If it has been the Detroit Lions advancing to the Super Bowl instead of the 49ers, the Chiefs would still be the designated heels (villains) of the game, and I don't know if the 49ers would still be considered heroes after their defeat of the Lions.

Plus, I will be boycotting CBS's official Super Bowl lead-out in favor of Billy Madison. The halftime show with Usher is probably the only part of the game's telecast I'll be watching in full. And my household doesn't have Nickelodeon, so I won't be watching that channel's lead-out program, either.

I think the last post SB show I watched was when Fox had one of their versions of 24 (I’m not including me watching when NBC followed with Olympics coverage)

Looks like I decided to support the Chiefs. More anguish around the country and better jokes if they win.

Plus every win they get hurts the Patriots. The talk was there would never be a team again like Brady and the Patriots, and immediately right behind them comes Mahomes and the Chiefs with a chance to outdo them.
