This morning I saw the first episode of I Dream of Jeannie colorized. This is the first time, I think, that Antenna TV has used that version. I hope they correct that. Bewitched is coming to the end of it's run I wonder if Antenna TV will mess up there too.

Yes, the colorized episodes are also on at 1 and 1:30 pm.

It'll be a few weeks on Bewitched. They are just starting season 8 today.

These have been around probably since Ted Turner was messing with black and white shows and movies. Yet this is the first time, I think, that Antenna TV have used them.

I tthink its a disgrace!!

Assuming that you're serious then I wouldn't go that far. It's just annoying. This is easily resolved by anyone cutting the color on their TV or finding other stations/channels with proper formatting. Also many free streaming services has the show presented in its original format.

I could be wrong but I think Freeve a streaming device offers color instead of black and white Bewitched.

antenna tv has been messing around with the format for a while first it was credit crunch than keeping the 50’s & 60’s programming on during the morning hours only now turning black and white episodes into color episodes.

I was referring to I Dream of Jeannie which has been handled better that Bewitched on streaming services. With Bewitched on many streaming services not only are the Black and White episodes colorized, but the color episodes are formated 16x9 widescreen rather than the original 4x3.

Maybe Antenna TV should’ve stick with the B&W versions of I Dream Of Jeannie[From Season 1] and Bewitched[Seasons 1 & 2] instead of the colorized versions of it. As for MeTV, it would’ve been better if they[MeTV] the B&W version of Gilligan’s Island[from Season 1] but not the Colorized version.

Seasons 1 & 2 of Bewitched in B&W>>>>Colorized First 2 Seasons & Bewitched
Season 1 of I Dream of Jeannie in B&W>>>>Colorized Season 1 of I Dream Of Jeannie
Season 1 of Gilligan’s Island in B&W>>>>Colorized Season 1 of Gilligan’s Island

I haven't watched Gilligan’s Island on MeTV but on Sundance and IFC they both run the black and white season 1 of Gilligan’s Island.

It's too bad Gilligan season 1 could not be re-done with the updated technology in use now, and 35mm network masters rather than the 16mm syndication prints used for the Turner job years ago.
