People magazine did a "Where are they now" feature on some sitcoms of the '80s and '90s in their June 26, 2000 issue, and the cast of Benson were among them.

James Noble (Gov. Eugene Xavier Gatling) has been living in Connecticut in recent years, and acting in local theater.

Missy Gold (Katie Gatling) earned a Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology, and is now a psychologist. According to some recent info, she is currently residing in Maine.

Inga Swenson (Kraus) lives in Los Angeles, and is retired from acting.

Robert Guillaume (Benson DuBois) still works as an actor.

Same with Rene Auberjonois (Clayton), who has been doing voice-over work in recent years.

Ethan Phillips will be appearing in the new movie Bad Santa, which is slated to come out in theaters this coming December.

For more information any of the Benson cast, check out their respective profiles at the Internet Movie Data Base (www.imdb.com).

Hope all this info helps. :)

Take care.

You are very welcome Aaron. :)

I have to admit that until I picked up the June 26, 2000 issue of People magazine, I was curious about what had become of Missy Gold. She was obviously still alive, but the real question was, "what is she doing now?"

Fortunately, I have the answer, and that is she is no longer working as an actress. Instead, she is now a psychologist. In the People magazine article in question, it was mentioned that her role in Benson was her last acting role. So her acting career ended when Benson was canceled in 1986 (seventeen years ago). (Benson co-star Inga Swenson admitted that she thought Gold was "too smart to be an actress.")

Nevertheless, she later auditioned for some daytime TV soap operas. It didn't mention which soaps she tried out for, but she never landed any such roles, because she didn't want to be committed to the five-year contracts.

Caroline McWilliams was in the "very, very, short-lived" 1989 fantasy show "Nearly Departed" and occasionally acts. She used to be married to actor Michael(Batman) Keaton, which she has a 20-year old son!!

It was Star Trek: Voyager. He played Neelix.

He also played Jones Three Echo in The Island (with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson), which came out in theaters in 2005.
