John Chappel (Mike D'Angelo) and (very strangely, because she's a really great comic actress) Brandis Kemp (Alma Cox) have both disappeared from the entertainment scene. Chappel appeared as the station janitor in the short-lived syndicated revival of "WKRP." The two "new" doctors on the series still show up in things from time to time. Jay O. Sanders (Gene Pfeiffer, who was written out toward the end of the first season ... but shouldn't have been) still acts in movies ("Tucker", "For Richer or Poorer" with Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley). David Ackroyd (Dr. Boyer ... who replaced Dr. Pfeiffer and was a discomforting character from the get-go) guest stars in series, including an episode of "Xena" (in which he had a limp... just like his one-legged "AfterMASH" character). Appropriately, the biggest post-"AfterMASH" successes have been the two performers who played the most consistently funny characters on that show. Rosalind Chao (Soon-Lee Klinger) played Keiko O'Brien on "Star Trek:TNG" and "Star Trek:DS9". The absolutely wonderful Pat Cranshaw (Bob Scannell) finally got his due public notice by portraying the old guy "Blue" in the successful comedy "Old School."
