Joyce Randolph, the last surviving cast member of The Honeymooners, has died. She was 99.

Randolph passed away Saturday at her New York City of natural causes, Randolph’s son confirmed to TMZ Sunday.

On The Honeymooners, Randolph played Trixie Norton, the wife of Art Carney’s Ed Norton. The sitcom, which ran from 1955 to 1956 on CBS, followed the day-to-day life of two working class couples in New York City: Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason) and his wife Alice (Audrey Meadows), and Trixie and Ed. Randolph’s Trixie originated on The Jackie Gleason Show in 1952, where she appeared until 1957.

While it was only on for one season, The Honeymooners became a classic comedy and has been revisited throughout the years in spinoffs and reboots. In 2005, it was updated in a film adaptation starring Cedric the Entertainer, Gabrielle Union, Mike Epps and Regina Hall. In 2016, it was reported that CBS was developing a reboot helmed by The Muppets’ Bob Kushell. Then, in 2022, CBS announced it was developing a female-driven “reimagining” of the comedy series.

In addition to iconic CBS sitcom, Randolph appeared in The Ed Sullivan Show, The Plainclothesman, The Doctors and the Nurses, Hi Honey, I’m Home and more.

We have posted at the same time, maybe you can merge into this thread?

That being said, it is very sad the main cast from the Honeymooners are all gone now, rest in peace Joyce!

:rip: to the last member of The Honeymooners cast! :( She outlived the other main cast members by a considerable margin with Jackie Gleason passing in 1987, Audrey Meadows in 1996 & Art Carney in 2003.

I wasted my time starting this thread so I deleted my posts. I have no problem with merging threads, but I have serious issues with ads and a slow website preventing me from posting in a timely manner.

Good grief. It's not a race to see who can post them first. We don't award any prizes.

How is posting a thread to remember someone wasting your time? I appreciate that you take the time to post them.

He posted his thread 4 seconds before you. Don't blame the ads or if the site was slow. Everyone deals with the same issues. Maybe just post a placeholder link and edit it in next time.

It's wonderful that she lived such a long life, but it's still a sad loss. RIP to this absolute TV legend. It was a privilege to share a birthday with her.

Apparantly Catchy Conedy is NOT changing their binge marathon this weekend for the Honeymooners and not honoring Joyce Randolph.

She may not be getting any respect from Catchy Comedy.

It is amazing just how many famous people lately have been passing away just shy of 100, Joyce, last year Bob Barker was 99, in 2021 Betty White was less than 2 weeks from her 100th. Indeed it is sad for me that Ricky, Lucky, Fred, Ethel, Ralph, Ed, Alice and now Trixie all are gone, gone but never ever forgotten and will live on indefinitely in our memories, our hearts, and reruns, va va va VOOM!
