"Young Sheldon" Spin-off about Georgie & Mandy Nears CBS Series Order from Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro & Steve Holland

"Young Sheldon" is coming to an end this season but the franchise will live on at CBS.

The network is closing in on a straight-to-series order to a multi-camera spinoff on the characters of Georgie Cooper and his fiancée Mandy McAllister, played by Montana Jordan and Emily Osment.



I hear deals with Jordan and Osment are still being worked out but the duo are expected to reprise their roles in the spin-off, which is poised to get a 13-episode order for the 2024-25 season.

Reps for CBS and WBTV declined comment.

They should cast Emily's real brother Haley Joel Osment to play her TV brother. I know someone else played him on Young Sheldon, but that was just for one episode.

How much of the CBS 2024-25 primetime schedule is going to be filled with spinoffs? Does this spinoff HAVE to be a straight-to-series order? I mean, there's always the potential for this to get bad ratings and ending-up cancelled after one season. I only look at spinoffs as a schedule hog on the broadcast networks.

U really think they give a crap about a show that went off five years ago? I thought you'd get the picture by now. It is a damn shame though that this show ain't gettin' too much of a send off though. It's largely been unwatchable. It's all Georgie, Mandy, the baby, MeeMaw and her casino and now a porta potty for the Coopers! Who comes up with this awful shyt?
