What do you think is the worst The Facts of Life episode ever? Come on, be honest . . . just about all shows have bad episodes. So . . . which episode do you think is the worst of the whole bunch?

I'm afraid I don't know the title of this one, but it was the boys school episode. The episode with that dude from Grease 2. It was one of the spinoff attempts. That really helped didn't it? lol

I didn't like the Brian and Silvia episode or Star at Langley.

the ep that I don't like is Like Mother, Like Daughter I don't really care for the actress that played Blairs mom in that ep I liked it when they changed her and had Marj Dusay play blairs mom.

That episode with Natalie and David Spade as a doctor was pretty boring IMO. I can't remember what it was called though.

I'm thinking it was called "Big Apple Blues" or just something like that. I didn't like that episode either, lol.

I was never a fan of the later episodes. Also, the whole Paris thing, I liked it, but Ive seen better. I also dont really like the one where they eah get interviewed. The first time seeing it, it was really cool, but after like the 5th time, I got bored.

The last two years of the show was horrible-I really did not think Ms. Garret needed a replacement since all the girls were adults.

Seasons 1, 3, 4, 5, and the first half of season 8 sucked really bad. I love seasons 2, 6, 7, last half of 8, and ESPECIALLY 9!!! Season 9 rocked, I loved it. No offense to Charlotte Rae, but Mrs. Garretts character change in seasons 3-5 ruin the show. I'm glad they changed her back to the Mrs. G from season 2 in the final seasons of Mrs. Garrett. She was a lot more funnier and happier. I can't wait until season 9, I hope they don't skip any.

My sister-in-law has Brian and Sylvia:o, the only thing good about that episode is the fact that Natalie and Tootie was in it.

So Brian and Sylvia was actually a show? So is a episode of Brian and Sylvia included in the Facts of Life syndication package? I remember seeing that episode when Natalie and Tootie went to visit but never knew it was a show

Brian and Sylvia was the pilot episode of a prospective series that wasn't picked up. Since it was never picked up, no episodes were produced. It has aired on USA, Nick at Nite and TV Land as well as when the series aired in syndication in the late 80's and early 90's.

What is so unique about the Jo character? I looked at FOL plenty of times and never felt anyone of the girls stood out more than the other

LOL! I was just messing around. Jo is actually my least fav of them all. They all contributed great to the show and I like them all for different reasons, no one over the other! I was just being really sarcastic up there. Even if Jo wasn't in any episode, I'd still watch. ;)

The last two episodes were just TERRIBLE. It totally left the greatness that FOL had for it's first 200 episodes, and turned into a 2-part finale which didn't even say goodbye really. It was really never put into one in the end, and all of the subplots still had questions unanswered. As for Brian and Sylvia....it was a weak episode, but still was OK. It wasn't very good because it was only Nat and Toot.

I would say Brian and Sylvia. Since the girls are hardly on the show, we can't lay any blame on them for how horrible this episode was.

Totally agree with Brian & Sylvia. I hate when sitcoms would do that in a lame effort to jump start a bad spinoff.

Golden Girls did the same thing with a bizarre episode with Rita Moreno.

I like what most said though I like season 1. I have to say the worse was Brian and Sylvia. They were so annoying who cares about them. I say the finale was near second. I wanted the girls to be together at the end and Mrs. G return. I didn't need a Blair spin off. That plot was tired. Natalie's spin off had David Spade who is annoying. I think everyone should have come to Jeff and Tootie's wedding and be reminiscing about their time together.

I also find David Spade annoying, and found that episode preposterous. Natalie just moves in with people she barely knows. Possibly the worst episode, and the worst spin-off attempt, although Brian and Sylvia wasn't good, either.

Wow this is an old thread. So many great posters who left Sitcoms Online over the years. Anyways, I think the worst episodes are the ones where the girls aren't featured as much. Brian and Sylvia, The Fight, Jo's Cousin, Big Apple Blues, and the final two episodes. I don't care for these ones. I like the ones where the core 4 are there.

People have said that before, but it's not true; Natalie and Tootie, half of our cast of girls, are peppered throughout the episode. I think other episodes like "The Academy" or that boring boxing episode feature the girls less.

I'd say the worst episode was probably '62 Pick -up'': it was kind of goofy and a poor imitation of the TV series 'Rag for the riches'!

Anyways, I wasn't making that comment in a negative way. There's a lot of posters in this thread I used to chat with back in those days. I wish they were still around. They were fun to chat with.

Well in all fairness, that came from TJ. People were bumping threads up on purpose. TJ made it a rule not to bump up old threads because many of the posters from those days left.

Well, there isn't the same level of traffic that there was in former years. If I posted a reply to some threads on SitcomsOnline, even if they were on the first page of a show, they might be several years old.

Big Apple Blues sucked. I didn't like any of the characters.

Claire acted like she was on crack.
Terrah was too sarcastic.
Ben was obsessed with being an actor.
Scott was just annoying.

Natalie should have never moved in with them. I wonder what the heck she was thinking. And what were writers thinking that this was supposed to be a spin-off.

RetroGuy2000

Yes, that episode was terrible. Those characters didn't even seem to give a crap about Natalie. Why would she move in with them?
