I remember seeing the jeffersons pilot on a episode of All in The Family when George and louise were on their way to Manhattan. In that Episode louise had on a blue coat and george told louise they were going to Manhattan in a Limo. Here is my question-Why does Louise have on a red coat in the opening credits of 1975 and why is george and louise inside a cab-where were they supposed to be coming from?

It's a very good question. You could also ask what happened to George's older brother Henry who used to appear from time to time on All in the Family, but disappeared on the Jeffersons.

well, you know George! he and Louise went to Bloomingdales or Macy's and she bought her a new coat but tight George opted to change his mind and take a cab instead of a Limo! that's my theory!
